Contract Scotland has an excellent opportunity for an experienced buyer to join a leading Scottish civil engineering contractor who is committed to its people, innovative working and ensuring positive change in the industry.

As a Buyer, your responsibility will include however will not be limited to:

- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to meet company objectives
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and requirements
- Monitor market trends and changes in supply chain to ensure optimal pricing and availability of goods
- Analyse data and generate reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in procurement processes

**Skills**:

- Knowledge of supply chain management principles
- Ability to analyse data and generate reports using Excel or other similar tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and prioritise tasks accordingly

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £35,000.00 per year
