We have a rewarding opportunity for a Special Needs Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join one of our partner SEN schools in Newcastle. This role offers the chance to work on weekdays, ensuring a healthy work-life balance with no weekend commitments.

**Job Summary**: As a Special Needs Learning Support Assistant you will be an integral part of a students educational journey, providing personalised support and care to those with special needs. You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to create a nurturing and enriching learning experience for students. This is a weekday position, allowing you to enjoy your weekends while contributing to the growth and development of our exceptional learners.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**One-on-One Support**: Offer individualised support and assistance to students with special needs, focusing on their unique learning requirements and personal development.

**Classroom Inclusion**: Promote an inclusive learning environment, supporting students during lessons, activities, and group work.

**Personal Care**: Provide assistance with daily tasks and personal care as necessary, always maintaining the utmost dignity and respect for each student.

**Behavioral Guidance**: Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviour's effectively, fostering a positive and nurturing atmosphere.

**Progress Monitoring**: Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to monitor students' progress, keeping accurate records and reporting on their achievements.

**Communication**: Maintain open and constructive communication with parents/guardians, sharing updates on students' progress and well-being.

**Requirements**:

- Prior experience as a Learning Support Assistant, specifically working with students with special needs, is highly desirable.
- A compassionate and patient approach in supporting students with diverse needs and abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- An understanding of various special educational needs and the ability to tailor support accordingly.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

- Bachelor's (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Special education: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
