St. Thomas CSI Church Belfast is a registered charity organisation under The Charity Commission of Northern Ireland.

We have regular services at Drumbeg Parish Church Hall, The Church of St Patrick's Drumbeg, Upper Malone Road, Belfast, BT17 9LE. We urgently require a Priest to lead services in Belfast.

You will principally report to Board of Trustees of the Church.

**Job description**

**Duties and responsibilities**:
Duties and responsibilities include organising regular Eucharistic service at the Church; providing pastoral care for members of the congregation across the UK; officiating at weddings, funerals and other special services; conducting house visits of the church members; responding to and dealing with telephone calls from church members; conducting spiritual and pastoral sessions with younger Church generation; conducting follow up sessions with new members of the Church; preside over the meetings of the General Body, managing committee and other sub committees; acting as the Ambassador of the mother Church and the Parish in the UK which includes but is not limited to maintaining contacts with the other ecumenical organisations to ensure a good working relationship and representing the Church for Special events; visiting other churches within the UK; organising and conducting prayer meetings with the members of the congregation; organising local charity projects within the remits of the Church constitution,etc.

**Eligibility**:

- be an ordained priest of the Church of South India (CSI)
- have an acceptable degree/diploma in theology/divinity
- have good communication and management skills
- have good understanding of Christian faith and knowledge of the Holy Sacraments
- have at least three years’ experience in a similar role.
- ability to converse in Malayalam language in addition to English would be an advantage.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 36 months

**Salary**: £21,000.00 per year

- Belfast BT17 9LE: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Religious & Spiritual Occupations: 3 years (preferred)
