**Night Auditor**

**30 - 40 hours per week**

**The Role**

We are currently looking for a night auditor who will perform end of day accounting tasks and work alongside the night team to ensure the highest levels of customer service throughout the night and resolve any issues in a quick and efficient manner.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform end of day accounting tasks
- Trouble shooting emergencies
- Liaising with other departments including finance.
- Reviews credit limit reports, verify banking and deposits on a weekly basis.
- Ensure implementation of all hotel policies and house rules
- To understand and support The Last Drop Village Hotel’s commitment to Customer Service within the job role.
- Running night audit using property management system (PMS) software
- Maintain strict security procedures with credit and cash transactions, accounting procedures, issue of room keys and guest confidentiality/privacy
- Processing payments including room charges, debit and credit, cash and cheques
- Answering guest queries and providing services as required
- Monitoring hotel and reporting any accidents or incidents to the management
- Balancing End of Shift Cash Up as well as overall hotel Cash Up
- Investigate and resolve out-of-balance accounts
- Maintain control of guest and hotel accounts ensuring that all charges are accurate and posted on a timely basis.
- Attend appropriate training courses when required and assist with the Night Team's training and development efforts.
- The post holder may be directed by their line manger to carry out other duties and responsibilities in line with his/her post, grade, skills, knowledge and experience.
- To ensure compliance with the Last Drop Village Hotel’s Health and Safety policies.
- The ability to multi task and manage your time
- Able to make decisions
- Maintaining good working relationships at all levels within the hotel
- Previous experience of Opera
- Ability to be methodical and have great attention to detail when working with figures
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel & MS Word and able to create and maintain complex spreadsheets
- Cash handling experience for counting and securing bank and processing cash payments
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Holding a valid emergency First Aid certificate
- Full UK driving licence
- Be available 22:45 - 07:15 on any five nights per week, with night-worker experience.

**Salary**: From £10.42 per hour
