Tour Guide

Shrewsbury Prison has an exciting new vacancy for a Tour Guide to join our existing Heritage & Tours team. This pivotal role is 21 hours per week (across 3 days), which will include weekdays, evenings and weekends. The salary for this position is £12,012.00 per annum.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring fantastic customer service and delivering fact-filled tours of the prison to our visitors, including:

- Guided Tours_
Delivering guided tours on prison life and history from Georgian times to present day, to public groups across a range of ages
- Educational Tours_
Delivering our ground-breaking new National Educational Programme to school groups of varying sizes, age range, and learning needs.
- Ghost Tours_
Delivering tours after dark, on the ghostly history of Shrewsbury Prison

Opening in 2015, Shrewsbury Prison began its journey of developing into a heritage attraction.
