Lathams Of Broughton is well known in Preston for its quality handmade cakes, desserts and biscuits and are looking for a part time shop/ Kitchen assistant to join our team based at our Hutton Shop.

As a shop/ kitchen assistant, you will report into the shop manager. Your day will include the following:

- Assisting in the opening and closing of the shop, including clean downs, and checking Best Before dates etc.
- Preparing customer food and drink orders, including hot items and afternoon tea orders.
- Adherence to health and safety procedures including food prep and hygiene.
- Practice excellent food hygiene standards including temperature control, storage, product handling and cleaning.
- Recording transactions through the till and cash handling/card processing
- Working with the team to count stock and replenish when required.
- Provide a cheerful and helpful manner whilst greeting customers and preparing orders.

Monday to Friday - 9.30am - 2.30pm

Availability to cover other team members for holidays is preferred.

Extra hours during busy periods may be available in the shop.

Some experience in a kitchen/shop would be an advantage.
