Night Porter

We have a fantastic new vacancy for an a Night Porter at Beamish Hall Country House Hotel.

Beamish Hall is a stunning country house hotel in the heart of North East England, set in picturesque countryside, on the borders of County Durham and Tyne & Wear. Family owned since 2003 we are proud to provide a memorable experience to all of our customers from tasty local produce in our Stables Bar & Restaurant to weddings and banqueting within the Hall or staying for the night in our luxurious bedrooms.

As one of the North East’s premier venues we are looking for friendly, trustworthy and motivated individuals to assist in making our guests stay a memorable one.

This is a part time role for 1 to 2 nights per week, days can be flexible depending on business booked. Opportunities for further hours.

Hours 10pm till 7am

Must be 18 years or over

Key Duties and Responsibilities;
- Security of the premises and guests
- To plan, prepare and present function rooms to the standards required by the Night Manager through correct implementation of training and SOPs.
- To be customer focused at all times, approachable and quick to exceed expectations of the customer’s needs.
- Prepare room service food and beverage as per department SOPs.
- To ensure that the company’s reputation for excellent cleanliness is maintained/enhanced.
- Enforce Licensing Laws & in-house security policies.
- Check customer satisfaction regularly, ensuring all guest feedback is dealt with in a professional and efficient manner to minimize negative impressions of the hotel.
- Ensure cash procedures are adhered to and strictly monitored including preparation and calculation of bills and cashing up of tills.
- Ensure prompt timekeeping and attendance, and effective organization of the staff.
