As Employee Relations Advisor you will report to the Head of Employee Relations and be part of the trusted HR Team in supporting 32 care homes across 5 portfolios across the country. The aim of this role is to provide personalised HR support and guidance to our Operational colleagues across the Akari Group.

Working with the Regional and Home Managers, you will be there to support our community of homes and help Managers to deliver excellent leadership and care to staff and residents. Part of this role will be to coach, mentor, train and support Home Managers across the Group.

Core responsibilities will include the following:

- Working as part of the HR team to provide an effective and efficient HR service to all care homes across the business
- Project management of multiple ER cases such as: disciplinary, grievance; performance management; sickness management.
- Dealing with and manage sensitive and complex situations relating to ER, ensuring all relevant participants are kept updated.
- Escalate potentially high-risk cases to the Head of ER
- Working as an Advisor to support and mentor line managers with HR issues.
- Regular ER Audits to be completed within our care homes and actions followed up with Managers
- Build excellent relationships and influence across all levels of seniority within the business.
- Manage daily, weekly and monthly reporting routines ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Identifying any trends within the reports, resolving issues and suggesting ways of continuous improvement.
- Support HR Best Practice in line with business objectives.
- Frequent weekly travel to our care homes is required
- Hold a driving licence to enable travel across 32 homes
- Have demonstrable experience gained at a HR Advisor level.
- Have a good working knowledge of Employee Relations and working with very high volumes of ER case management, including managing own administration tasks
- Have experience in the healthcare sector
- Possess a can-do attitude
- Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders within the business.
- Be a confident and effective coach with a willingness to drive continuous improvements within the HR team.
- Be committed to developing effective working relationships.
- Be proactive, a self-starter and well-motivated.
- Show a kind and caring attitude when supporting colleagues and management
