On behalf of our client, the longest running independent carton manufacturer in the UK, we are currently recruiting for a Handy Person to join their maintenance team based in Thornaby on Tees.

Established in 1979, Central Employment is an independent recruiter in the Northeast with over 40 years of industry expertise.

**The Role**
Working alongside the Maintenance Team you will take ownership for the repair and maintenance of the building, fabric and plant. This will include.
- Regular sites walk around.
- Highlighting and repairs
- Replacing anything that needs fixing ( door handles / locks / painting/ etc.)
- Ensuring no minor issues turn into major issues.
- Complete reactive repairs such as small plumbing issues, building and maintenance jobs.
- Reporting an issues / snags via the maintenance request forms.
- General DIY tasks.

**Hours **Monday - Friday 9am-5pm but this can be made flexible for the right person. (Total 37.5 hours per week)£10.50 per hour

**The Location **Thornaby industrial Estate TS17

**Important bits**
- You will ideally be able to communicate positively with a wide variety of people.
- Work well under pressure and have a keen interest in DIY type Jobs
- Be able to do DIY related work and use tools such as screwdrivers / drills etc.
- Can do attitude.
- No weekend working.

**Salary**: £10.50 per hour
