Housekeeping Room Attendant

The postholder will ensure that high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the hotel, with the supervision and inspection of all guest rooms and areas. To allocate areas of cleaning on a daily basis fairly, in accordance with hotel procedures and hotel business.
The postholder will be required to work to the requirements of the business to include both morning and evening shifts.
**Key Responsibilities**
- To supervise the housekeepers on a daily basis and provide direction and motivation to them at all times
- To ensure that all the housekeepers are following procedures at all time in accordance with the housekeeping manual
- To allocate rooms on a daily basis as to which housekeeper will clean which rooms
- To check rooms once they have been completed, so they are ready for the Duty Manager to sign off each day
- To complete the weekly stock take according to set timescales and passing the information to the Assistant Manager in a timely fashion
- To ensure that the laundry is covered at all times, liasing with the Assistant Manager where there are gaps
- To ensure the weekly job sheets are completed and signed off and given to the Office Manager according to set timescales
- To ensure that a monthly deep clean of both lounges and public areas are carried out and signed off by the Assistant Manager
- To complete a monthly deep clean of all bedrooms which are checked by the Assistant Manager and spot checked by the General Manager
- To be responsible for the training of new housekeepers.
- Keeping track of any maintenance issues and advising the General Manager of maintenance issues as they arise.
**Salary**: £11.00-£14.00 per hour
