Group Lean

Our client is currently looking for a Group LEAN & Continuous Improvement Manager to join the Management team, working across the 4 Operating Companies located in Staveley, Corby, Hyde and Northampton.

As the Lean and CI Manager, you will develop, steer and direct the roll out of the Lean strategic

initiatives and improvement plans across all disciplines. Working with all functions Sales & Operations and Site Leadership Teams to develop and co-ordinate the execution of plans to support the business objectives through the deployment of LEAN methodologiesand metrics.

**Group LEAN & Continuous Improvement Manager Duties**:

- Lead the roll out of Lean strategic initiatives and delivery improvement
- Support AVK UK businesses with the development of strategic deployment plans (PD1/PD2)
- Achieve high level of operational efficiency and service aligned with business goals and objectives
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice Lean vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
- Lead and support on Value stream mapping exercises to identify waste reduction
- Ensure all sites are adhering to the rigour of SQDIPM meetings and that action plans are created
- Link with Group Lean members to ensure best practice is captured and shared
- Support the development of training plans of Lean methodologies especially Kaizen in conjunction with HR
- Issue the monthly report on progress of lean initiatives
- To chair Lean meetings ensuring agendas and actions are issued in a timely manner
- Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact of Lean activities on improved financial performance
- Promote a positive and proactive continuous improvement culture
- Generate and maintain regular communication
- Drive and monitor the results of Continuous Improvement activities to ensure that agreed improvement targets are met and sustained.

**Group LEAN & Continuous Improvement Manager Requirements**:

- Experience in continuous Improvement and Lean methodology such as Kaizen, Lean Sigma (Value Stream Mapping, Method/Time Study, SMED, 5S, Root Cause Analysis, SPC
- Process Balancing in an industrial business is essential.
- Must live within a commutable distance to one of the manufacturing locations but must be prepared to travel on a frequent basis.
