**Doctors Direct have a new and exciting opportunity for a Consultants to work with us at** **George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust in Urology.**
We are looking for a dedicated doctor ready to work in a fast-paced environment at a Trust serving more than 300,000 people across North Warwickshire, South West Leicestershire and North Coventry. This role would be predominantly based at **George Eliot Hospital** with the opportunity to work extra shifts across the Trusts’ other sites and any of our partner Trusts.
George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust opened in 1948 and provides a range of elective, non-elective, surgical, medical, women’s, children’s, diagnostic and therapeutic services. A full range of sexual health services across Warwickshire is also provided by the Trust.
**The details of the role are**:
- **Grade**: Consultant
- **Location**: George Eliot
- **Start date**: ASAP on going until further notice.
- **Rates**: £100-£125 depending on experience
**About the role**:
As a urologist, you’ll investigate, treat and help to manage conditions relating to the bladder, urethra and prostate, and male reproductive organs. You’ll work with all kinds of patients, from those with prostate cancer to people experiencing temporary problems with incontinence.
You will deal with a variety of patients experiencing a range of urological problems. You’ll carry out investigations and treatments using mínimally invasive tools like endoscopes and cystoscopes. You may also advise patients on how to manage ongoing conditions and concerns, such as living with a urine stoma.
You will work with patients of all ages, from newborns to elderly patients. The majority of your days will be spent carrying out surgical procedures. You’ll also speak to patients in outpatient clinics and complete ward rounds to help assess and treat those with acute or new urological issues.
- Valid GMC
- Right to work in the UK
- Clinical attachment complete
- Minimum of 3 months paid experience in the NHS/UK
