The role will include responsibilities such as dispensing and ordering medication, dealing with outside professionals (i.e., local GP’s and District Nurses), implementing care plans and dealing with day-to-day issues that are raised at The Sands Meadows, to provide the best possible person-centred care for our residents.
- Good team leader skills and be a dedicated, focused role model for care assistants.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to listen, to follow and understand instructions.
- Attention to detail.
- Clear and prompt reporting of incidents.
- The ability to build positive working relationships with residents, team members, external visitors and home manager.
- The ability to plan, meet deadlines, conduct tasks in a structured and logical way factoring in the unexpected. Be able to remain calm under pressure or emergencies.
- Values of respect, trust, and calmness. Understands older people’s needs and a commitment to the safety, care and wellbeing of our residents. Demonstrates empathy.
- NVQ level 2 and or above is essential for this role.

Shifts**:Days: 7:45am-8:15pm**

Included within this role is an **“On Call”** which usually consists of **Friday afternoon (4pm) to Monday morning (8am)** cover on your allocated weekend in. An enhancement is paid for this period of **“On Call”**.

Full training will be provided along with regular refresher training.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £10.50 per hour
