Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our team. As a Cafe Assistant, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the cafe. Your responsibilities will include food preparation, assisting customers, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.

**Duties**:

- Prepare and serve food and beverages to customers
- Assist customers in selecting menu items and provide recommendations
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe, including cleaning tables, counters, and equipment.
- Opening and closing the café.
- Ensure food safety standards are followed during food preparation and storage
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies and monitoring stock levels
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding health, safety, and hygiene

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Basic math skills for cash handling purposes
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team

Shift pattern Saturday 08:00-15:00, Sunday 08:00-15:00.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Expected hours: 20 per week
