More about your role

As Disrepair Lead your primary role will be to monitor, manage and co-ordinate all Housing Condition Claims received. You will be responsible for reviewing claims on an individual basis, assessing liability and quantum, and identifying any risks to the business, whether these be financial or reputational. Claims will be allocated to yourself for which you will have sole responsibility. Working alongside the Disrepair Manager, you will provide assistance to the wider team, monitoring workload, allocating tasks, and providing support and guidance. You will a key point of contact for all disrepair claims and will therefore be required to work reactively to any priority matters.

The role is also responsible for regular data reporting to monitor trends in claims received and for financial reporting, maintaining records to assist with this and also actively implementing system improvements where possible. The role assists the wider team with the raising of Purchase Orders, interrogating, and querying invoices and updating monthly accrual information.

To be considered for this role you will have experience in a similar role, managing your own caseload of active claims with the ability to demonstrate a good understanding of Housing Condition Claims You will be required to manage your own workload with little supervision and be able to work effectively and efficiently using your own initiative. Attention to detail and an ability to grasp the legal issues that arise quickly is critical in order to be successful in this role.

This is a busy team which requires an organised individual who is able to work effectively under pressure whilst also adhering to deadlines.

You'll be a confident communicator that enjoys playing a key role supporting the wider team. You will also be confident in building and maintaining relationships with both internal colleagues and external suppliers including the instruction of legal support.
