JOB SUMMARY

The Interim Procurement Lead shall manage the Contract Management & Strategies for assigned direct and Indirect Groups within a Food Ingredient Sector

To data gather, collate, analyze and assist with the implementation of the European Procurement Group

Acts as liaison to European Sensient business units to help promote communication and alignment to business unit goals, including capital and indirect support that would optimise purchases as directed.

At all times working in accordance with our global food safety policies and procedures that support activities of the Quality and Regulatory functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Data gathering Including the collation from Sensient European Locations and External Suppliers, and producing reports, to support strategic decisions and progress projects.

Direct project liaison and reporting to Teams and Group

Support for Procurement Team including acting as point of contact for suppliers, analyzing and manipulating contract data using Microsoft Package and other Data Packages of Sensient.

Assumes the leadership role for selected categories across Europe.

Responsible for limited category strategic alignment.

Responsible for functional guidance to local Regulatory & Technical Groups

Uses Standardized contracts across a global supply base for assigned categories of direct and indirect materials and services.

Supports business units’ O.T.I.F by clearing escalated roadblocks with suppliers.

Assesses supplier capabilities and makes recommendations on supplier acceptability.

Carries out other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Manages Vendor and Approval PO Process to Finance Guidance

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS/COMPETENCIES

Degree level of education preferred.

Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications & MRP Systems.

Experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Finance support from Food, Pharma or Packaging.

Strong organizational, leadership skills with ability to self-manage.

Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

In-depth experience of report writing, spreadsheet generation and analysis.

Good personnel skills and ability to communicate at all levels.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

Good Personnel communications experience with Private or Public Sectors.

Ability to create, evaluate and understand data and evaluate to make informed decisions.

Ability to make decisions and work without supervision.

Working knowledge of supplier negotiations, supplier contracting, value analysis techniques, and being an ‘out of the box’ thinker.

**CONTACTS**:
**Internal**: Contact with internal, multi-site staff and management at all levels throughout the company concerning, but not exclusively, contracted purchases to assist in the resolution of local purchasing, technical, regulatory and QA problems.

**External**: Continual contact with suppliers and customers; will also have contact with related professional societies, and some contact with regulatory and government agencies concerning purchasing practices and imports.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The work environment is a traditional office, with opportunities to travel, depending on business needs.
