Hinkley Point C, in Somerset, is the first nuclear power station to be built in the UK for over 20 years. The site will provide low carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy.

At the Hinkley Point C site we are responsible for delivering containment liner coatings, surface protection for concrete in the internal building rooms for both nuclear reactors along with specialist access solutions.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Health and Safety - site aspects detailing the painters requirements to meet H & S regulations.
- Access Plant and Equipment - including scaffold and mobile platforms
- Surface Preparation - all forms of preparation including hand and mechanical, they should also know the fundamentals of blasting so they can assist with the blast set up if required.
- Coating Types - all types of paint from single to two pack, holding primers to high build.
- Quality Control - to understand the reasoning behind quality control and the ways in which we take readings (wet/dry film thickness, environmental readings)

**Requirements**:

- TTP, ICATS or OPITLO L1
- CSC CARD HSE Test for Ops or CCGNSG Safety Passport
