**JOB PURPOSE**

Working as part of a team you will support the cook and counter staff in the provision of a comprehensive catering service for the customers to the coffee shop in the Family Justice Centre. You will ensure the smooth delivery of the varied and healthy balanced meals and foods offered and have responsibility for the presentation of the café daily.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

**1.** **Service delivery.**
- Develop the weekly rotas for staff ensuring adequate provision of cover in keeping with daily demand.
- Ordering goods for use in the café
- Ensuring that all food prepared is served in accordance with the advice of the cook.
- Addressing in a professional manner any issues which are raised by customers if not resolved by counter services staff.
- Assisting the cook with the preparation of food routinely.
- Responsible for the presentation of the café including the cleanliness, health and safety, functionality of equipment used.

**2.** **Supervision and training**
- Manage the staff working in the café ensuring that they can fulfil their responsibilities well.
- Undertake regular reviews with staff to identify their training needs ensure that they are briefed in relation to their roles and aware of all health and safety requirements.
- Deal with any issues arising from poor performance timekeeping etc.
- Keep records of all hours worked and ensure these are processed in accordance with company policy.
- Acknowledge your own training needs and be open to attendance at relevant training courses in consultation with your Manager.
- Prepare for and participate in your Performance Development Reviews (PDRs).

**3.** **Health and Safety**
- Ensure that the café is maintained to a standard that will satisfy inspection and meet all regulations.
- Assist in the cleaning and organisation of the café and kitchen and all equipment used.
- Liaise with the cook in respect of the records as required for inspection and audit purposes.

**4.** **Confidentiality/Data Protection**
- Always adhere to the FWA Confidentiality and Data Protection Policies and Procedures.

**5.** **Public Relations**
- Ensure that your conduct contributes to maintaining good public relations between FWA and other agencies/stakeholders.

**6.** **Any Other Tasks**
- Always adhere to FWA policies and procedures.
- Provide verbal and written reports as requested.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
