**About The Role**:
Employment within the Grounds Maintenance team will offer a busy, quick thinking, high paced environment. All works are carried out with strict timescales to agreed standards and all relevant environmental policies adhered to. Our frontline service requires grounds husbandry to be carried out in a skilful, efficient and effective manner, creating a safe environment for our customers to enjoy. As a frontline department, regular communication with partnering teams, the public and third party organisations is a key priority.
Based at Moors Valley Country Park but covering the East Dorset area, the Grounds Maintenance team carry out a wide variety of tasks including verge cutting, hedge and shrub pruning and planting. Sports turf upkeep including football and cricket play a major part of our workload. Play facility inspections/maintenance are also provided to ensure safe and engaging facilities for the public.
**Further Information**:
This is a full time role at 37 hours per week.
- This is a physically demanding position which is carried out in the natural environment in all weathers. The Grounds Maintenance team are a flexible, front line service working directly within the public domain, therefore the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
- A driving licence is essential, as this post requires significant travel. You must have a vehicle (or transport we deem suitable) available for use as needed.
