**We are looking for Support Workers to join our Service based in Bourne on either full time (37.5 hours per week), or part-time hours (20 hours per week).** Flexible shift patterns, **spread across mornings, afternoons, evenings and sleep ins, weekends and bank holidays.**

***About the Service**

We provide support to three houses in the Bourne area. Two of the houses are home to four ladies and the third house is home to four gentlemen. We currently provide 24/7 support in each location. You will be based at one of the Services but our team of Support Workers will provide support across all of these services providing support to all of the people we support.
- The people we support are looking for support with maintaining their tenancy, medication and meal preparation. They have a range of interests too and are looking for their new Support Workers to join them on day trips, walking around the local woods, clothes shopping or playing bowls. You may even find yourself going to watch POSH play or providing support whilst one of the gentlemen is DJ'ing at a local disco**Drivers are essential for this role.**

**What does a Support Worker do?**

As a Support Worker you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will help to ensure the people we support live a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life. You will have excellent communication skills and be a naturally caring and patient personality. Typical responsibilities may include:

- **Supporting people to live independently** - budget management, paying bills, housework, organising appointments and cooking delicious healthy meals.
- **Excellent communication skills and Relationship building **- supporting the people we support to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships.
- **Community & Social Inclusion** - supporting individuals to access and participate in their local community and social events to promote life skills and individuality.
- **Personal care** - helping people to get ready for the day. This may include prompting the people we support to take their medication and assisting with bathing, showering and using the bathroom. Not all Support Worker roles include high levels of personal care.
