Healthcare Assistant for Physical Health

This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our experienced team working 5 days per week with the Early Intervention in Psychosis Service covering the Ashford/Shepway localities

Do you want to develop your knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure that we deliver high quality, person centred care at the right time and in the right place? We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Healthcare Assistant to work in our community service.
The role includes a focus on physical health, nutrition and well-being working closely with the Band 6 Registered General Nurse. This will involve supporting service users to have physical health checks, providing education and support to service users and their families and helping to run well-being clinics. The post holder should have a qualification in venepuncture or be willing to complete.

commitments under the indirect supervision of senior staff.
To be able to understand their role within a multi-disciplinary team
To understand the principles and processes of the Care Programme Approach
To be able to use communication, observational and reporting skill
appropriately
To be able to analyse information and accurately report back to senior staff
resulting changes to care need and any actions taken
To be able to use their own initiative to deliver effective and appropriate plans of care
To be able to co facilitate groups
