Nursery Practitioner

Paws Nursery School, a small independent nursery established in 1995 in Warfield, offers high quality pre-school education in a warm and nurturing environment. We anticipate a vacancy for a part-time Early Years Practitioner to contribute to the educational provision, working collaboratively with a small team. Nursery sessions run Mon-Fri 9:00-12:00 and 12:30-3:30 with 12:00-12:30 lunch club. Working hours range from 8:45 start time for morning sessions, ending around 4:00pm for afternoon or full day working shift - to be discussed with suitable applicants. A limited number of sessions/hours are anticipated initially, with possibility of additional sessions or permanent position if enrollment requires. **Term time only**. We are closed during school holidays. The nursery opening hours are in line with schools, not full day nurseries.

**Responsibilities**:

- Helping to deliver an exciting and engaging curriculum across the nursery, implementing work schemes and lesson plans in line with the requirements of the EYFS.
- Establishing relationships with the children to facilitate their learning and develop and maintain relationships with parents/guardians to further support the children
- Assessing progress and ensuring that records of progress are maintained
- Contributing to the planning of the indoor and outdoor environment in order to provide a positive context for learning and teaching
- Encouraging children’s mathematical and creative development through stories, songs, games, drawing and imaginative play
- Supporting the development of children’s basic skills, including physical co-ordination, speech and communication, language and literacy.

**Requirements**:

- Experience working in a nursery setting.
- Possession of a relevant EYFS qualification - equivalent to minimum of NVQ Level 3
- Salary **:£11.44 per hour**
