**Manufacturing Engineer**

Adecco Engineering are working with our trusted on an excellent opportunity to join their Brighton office. Operating in the UK for over 100 years our client has demonstrated world-class engineering, manufacturing, research and development pedigree in workingwith the UK government and industry partners to solve complex problems and defend against evolving threats.

We are looking to supplement the Brighton operations with an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to develop, implement and analyse manufacturing engineering plans and projects and communicates them to internal and external customers. Defines, develops, andtransfers manufacturing and engineering tools, strategies, and systems. Develops manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes. Actively participates with engineering project teams to coordinate the release of new products. Estimates and tracksmanufacturing costs, determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.

Experienced professional with proficient knowledge of job area and practical knowledge of project management. May manage projects or processes with general supervision. Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpretoperational processes, practices, and procedures. Recommends enhancements to systems and processes. Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Accountabilities
- Manufacturing engineering resource to the REIS IPT
- Manufacture and Test of REIS Portfolio products through the life cycle
- Contribute to the overall business objectives and performance indicators
- Developing the machining or assembly processes and training the production staff

**Responsibilities**:

- Products are manufacturable and can be industrialised for serial production
- Approval of drawings from a manufacturing perspective
- Ensuring manufacturing instructions are available for machining and assembly
- Liaise with the suppliers to discuss new designs and concepts feed this back to the engineering team
- Engage with quality engineers ensuring quality plans are created and products can be verified

Provide guidance and share knowledge to less experienced manufacturing engineers Qualifications/Skills/Experience/Expertise

Requires proficient knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management. Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

Registered to an engineering body (iMechE, IET, iCME) ideally with Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status or as a minimum working towards this level within the next 12 months.

Specialising in machining and assembly of electro-mechanical products. Experience of lean principles ideally Green Belt qualified. Proven experience in the use of DFMA, PFMEA and Process KC's. The use of SolidWorks to design manufacturing aids and developstandard operating procedures.
