**Overview of role**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Assistant to join our growing team within our Cardiff Head Office. The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for organising the safe and efficient receipt, storage, maintenance, upgrading and despatch of Orchard’s extensive warehoused hire goods. You will be working closely with all areas of the business and ensuring the operation of all Orchard’s hire assets**.**

**How to apply**

**General responsibilities and targets**
- Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, maintenance and dispatch of goods
- Process orders produced in Current
- Maintain layout of stores space to ensure space utilisation
- Use mechanical handling equipment efficiently,
- Make sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met
- Use of automated and computerised systems such as Current
- Assist with all maintenance and PAT testing of equipment and vehicles

**Experience and Skills required**
- Proven work experience working within a warehouse environment
- Experience in PAT testing preferred (training can be provided)
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
- Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work effectively and positively within a wider team environment.
