Axon Moore are delighted to be partnering with one of the UK’s leading accountancy firms - based near Bolton - in their search for an enthusiastic and energetic finance individual. **Key Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Overall responsibility for a portfolio of clients, including ownership of the client relationship and the adherence to both statutory and internal deadlines.
- Liaise with clients to aid the smooth on-boarding of clients that subscribe to our accountancy service.
- Preparation and submission of monthly payroll, VAT returns and self-assessment tax returns to HMRC.
- Perform quarterly reviews of an online bookkeeping tool to ensure financial information is up-to-date, accurate and free from error.
- Preparation and submission of statutory accounts and corporation tax returns to HMRC.
- Responsible for the registrations completed by the trainee accountant.
- Involvement in the training of new members of staff on the team.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding organisational skills
- The ability to cultivate and maintain meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Capable of being flexible and adapting to changes, such as legislation amendments.
- Qualified or studying towards their AAT qualification.
- The ability to work through tasks of varying complexity in a methodical manner.
- Able to work individually and also contribute as part of a team.
