Commercial Finance Officer

**Commercial Finance Manager - salary £60k to £80k plus benefits**

**Lanarkshire with hybrid working and occasional travel to other sites**

Our client is a leading service provider to both the public and private sectors and they operate throughout the UK. The business is going through an exciting period of growth, and they have an opportunity for a Commercial Finance Manager to join their Scottishleadership team.

The main duties will include:

- Preparation of achievable forecasts in cooperation with business managers. Ensuring all budgets/forecasts are completed on time and supported by explanation and commentary. Identifying key risks to profitability and helping reduce or eliminate them.
- Working with the Central Accounting function each month and playing a significant part in the review and sign-off of the monthly accounts pack. Analysing and investigating key variances with managers and agree on actions to reduce/remove negative variances.
- Preparation of timely and accurate weekly information as required including invoicing targets and cash collection targets.
- Maintaining a focus on cash. Day-to-day responsibility for reviewing debt and work in progress. Playing a leading role in developing a cash culture within the region.
- Providing ad hoc financial information and analyses as requested.
- Playing a significant role in new business mobilisations and contract demobilisations.
- Proactively providing a financial interpretation and advice service for non-financial managers in the business. Ensuring branch managers understand and take ownership of their financial performance.
