The Mare and Foal Sanctuary is seeking a Fundraising Officer (Philanthropy) to join our dynamic Fundraising and Communications Team and help us raise crucial funds for our mission-driven initiatives.

About The Mare and Foal Sanctuary

The Mare and Foal Sanctuary is the largest equine welfare charity in the South West peninsula dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of horses and ponies who have suffered neglect, abuse and trauma. We also deliver a range of Equine Assisted Services with our rescued horses and ponies. The Mare and Foal Sanctuary has five sites across Devon, a clear five-year strategy and is ambitious for the future.

About the Role

This role is your chance to make a meaningful impact on our charity, by providing vital practical support to four philanthropic income streams, as well as administrative support to the Fundraising Manager and the wider Fundraising Team. This is a hybrid role with a nominated base at Olympus Business Park and core hours of 37.5 per week.

**Salary Range**: Band H2.2 £22,971 to H2.7 £24,630

What You Will Be Doing

Collaborating with Fundraising Manager

Reporting and Communication
You will ensure timely and efficient reporting to trust funders and provide updates on funded projects and organisational developments.

Donor Relations
Acknowledging donations from in-memory and major donor supporters will be part of your role along with managing thank-you processes appropriately.

Campaign Support
You will execute small-scale mailings to specific supporter segments for campaign initiatives. Identify opportunities for supporter stewardship and take necessary follow-up actions.

Database Management
Maintaining accurate supporter records in the fundraising CRM system and completing tasks related to supporter records and database management.

Prospecting and Research
Conducting research to identify and qualify potential trust and major donor funders.

Event and Community Support
Providing assistance for event administration and community fundraising stewardship.

**What you will bring**:
Strong organisational skills to effectively manage diverse tasks.
Proficiency in written English to ensure clear communication.
Excellent IT skills, including the use of MS Office suite and databases.
Ability to handle varying workloads while maintaining attention to detail.
Team-oriented mindset, fostering collaboration and contributing positively.
Prior experience in fundraising, while not mandatory, is beneficial.
Project management experience is desirable and will be considered an asset.
