Radiology Assistant

We are looking for a conscientious, hard-working, caring person to join our team as a Radiology Assistant in the CT department at Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen.The hours of work will be 8am - 8pm on Saturday and Sunday. Enhancements will be paid for working unsociable hours as per agenda for change.

It is essential that you enjoy working with people and have great communication skills. You must have patience and be methodical, work well in a team but have the ability to take initiative and work individually.

As part of this dedicated, friendly and supportive team, you will be expected to assist clinical staff during CT examinations.

This is a 22.5 hour part time post.

As part of this dedicated, friendly and supportive team, you will be expected to assist clinical staff during examinations in CT. You will assist with scans, maintain the unit’s stock and perform other general/caring duties. You will also be trained to insert cannula's for patients requiring a contrast injection for the scans. Full training will be given.

This is a Part time position working in a busy Radiology Department that serves a large geographical area.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
