CET Ltd is seeking a talented and experienced Test and Release Manager to help us to continue to build our world-class “Simplifi” Platform. We’re looking for someone who wants to remain a hands-on Test Engineer, but who also wants to manage the wider test function and help to continually drive QA processes throughout the team. We’re looking for someone with experience in managing Test Engineers and who has experience in both manual and automated testing.

As well as in-Sprint testing, this role will also be the final gate on all software releases. We’ve got great automated pipelines, so we don’t expect you to perform the release, but we do want someone to co-ordinate it and make sure it goes out in an organised manner.

This is an important role that requires excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as good technical expertise.

Role and Responsibilities

Work alongside our amazing Principal Developer and Development Manager in the development and delivery of our high-quality software platform.
Work with the Product Manager to ensure that all tickets meet our Definition of Ready before they go into a Sprint.
Implement best practice Test processes to help streamline the development cycle and minimise defects.

Collaborate with other departments, including product management and customer support, to identify persistent defects and help prioritise their resolution.
Stay up-to-date on the latest software testing trends and technologies.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

Bachelor's Degree
2 years of experience in software testing
Strong understanding of Agile with Scrum
Proven experience in using project management tools such as Jira and Test Management software such as Test Rail.

Strong leadership and team management skills.
Ability to develop and implement testing strategies and plans.
Ability to identify and resolve defects and issues in a timely manner.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Desirable Skills:
Experience with automated testing tools and processes.
Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
Experience with continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
Experience with cloud-based platforms and services.
