**Night Care Assistant Part Time - required for our brand-new luxury care home ‘Selwood House’ in Charlton Down, Dorchester, Dorset, Part of the Country Court Family.**

**Hours: Part Time Nights 22 Hours per week, working weekends on rota ( 2 Shifts per week)**

Selwood House Care Home is due to open at the beginning of September 2023 & will accommodate up to 84 residents, and will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to cater for various care needs. Specialising in residential care, dementia care, and short-term respite care, Selwood House will provide a warm welcome as soon as you set foot through the door.

We are now looking for Care Assistants, to join us mid-August 2023, just before we open our doors to our 1st residents in September 2023. We like to ensure everyone receives exceptional training, so your first 2 weeks induction will ensure you know all about your role, the team around you and the home. We'll provide you with the right tools, information, and thorough training ready to deliver the very best care to our residents, this initial training will be Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

**ABOUT THE CARE ASSISTANT (NIGHTS) ROLE**

Within the Care Assistant role, you can really make a difference to our residents’ lives. Your responsibilities will include:

- Helping our residents with personal support and care
- Aiding their emotional well-being and social needs
- Serving meals/drinks and assisted feeding
- Interacting with our residents on a personal level
- Maintaining and developing the residents care plan to ensure their needs are met

**ABOUT YOU**

Our fantastic staff are at the heart of our homes & provide vital day-to-day support to our residents. Having those care values is vital to share a happy home, so we would love to hear from those who really do want to make a difference to people’s lives.
- Be no stranger to working night shifts
- Able to engage well with the residents and their families
- Have good written & verbal communication skills
- Have an understanding of people with Dementia.
- Experience as a Care Assistant is preferred but not essential
- Have an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social care or be willing to work towards this.

**Covid Safety**
We operate COVID secure homes and have strict procedures in place to ensure the safety of all residents and staff. This includes regular COVID & temperature testing and wearing appropriate PPE, and if requested by management a face mask whilst on shift, unless medically exempt.
