Fabrication Fitter

Our Client who are based in **Widnes**, are a well-established supplier of specialist products within the engineering sector. Due to continued growth they are looking for an experienced **Fabrication Fitter** to join their team.
This is a temp to perm opportunity for an experienced Fabrication Fitter to join a well known company in their field.
**Responsibilities**:
- Use power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble and fabricate metal components
- Use and maintain specialized machines and tools and welding techniques.
- Weld metal components together using TIG welding methods
- Match bore grinding/tack weld, assembling components i.e. pipe, elbows and flanges ready for welding to strict tolerances/requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints and customer drawings to determine project specifications
- Perform basic mathematical calculations to ensure accurate measurements
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production processes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
**To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills**:
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
- Mechanical knowledge to read and interpret blueprints accurately
- Thorough attention to detail is a must
- The ability to use your own initiative
- Knowledge of engineering science and technology
- The ability to work well with others
- Design skills and CAD knowledge
- Physical strength and stamina
- CMM/Faro arm knowledge ideal but not essential
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with fabrication of mild and stainless steel, aluminium, and special metals is a plus
- Vocational certification or equivalent qualification in Mechanical fitting or a related field
The hours of work for this role are **08:30 until 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:30 until 15:00 on a Friday.**
The pay rate for this role is starting at **£20.00 per hour** **dependent on experience.**
