We have an exciting opportunity for an administrative position working with the Clinical Nurse Specialist team for Children and Young People. The post holder will be patient facing to ensure that treatment pathways for children and young people undergoing treatment for malignancy are effectively managed. The roles and responsibilities of the post are designed to support the CNS team in providing keyworker care for children and young people.

To act as the first point of contact for patients, carers, GPs and colleagues in other hospitals contacting the CNS team in a professional manner, and to proactively deal with telephone enquiries where appropriate.
To alert the appropriate members of the CNS team to patient enquires or problems, escalating immediately if patients are unwell

To input and maintain patient diagnoses and current clinical unit data on the Hospital Information System, and other patient-related information as required
To ensure accurate updating of patient demographic details on the Patient Administration System and medical notes
To ensure that all relevant paper documentation is scanned into the digital health records
