**This is a hybrid role with the office based in central Reading**

**Fixed term contract for 12 months**

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Marketing Executive to have real responsibility for delivering high-impact campaigns and marketing activity to promote Reading. A fixed-term position, initially created to cover maternity leave for the Head of Marketing, the Marketing Executive will have responsibility for implementing ongoing marketing activity and shaping the company’s social media presence, as well as gaining real, hands-on experience of managing and delivering marketing plans across the company.

Having recently launched a new destination website, rebranded the REDA corporate identity, and refreshed the place brand of Reading, this is a really exciting time to join the team: You’ll have real influence in driving these projects forward and helping to raise the profile of Reading. On top of this, the Reading’s town centre Business Improvement District (BID) will be re-balloting for its next five-year term and this role will also be critical in supporting the BID team with campaign communications and promotion during 2023/24.

Reading’s Economy & Destination Agency (REDA) is the economic development and place marketing organisation that enables Reading to reach its full potential as a world-class destination. We have a shared mission to boost business and enhance the visitor experience in a way that improves the quality of life for all those in the Reading region. REDA is a small but mighty team of 7 passionate people, dedicated to promoting Reading as a place to live, work and do business. A private and public sector partnership, we focus on three core areas: marketing the place of Reading, attracting investment to Reading and supporting local businesses in Reading. **About you**

This role would suit a creative and self-motivated Marketing Executive, passionate about delivering first-class campaigns across multiple channels and audiences. This is a varied, hands-on role, requiring an individual who is willing to get stuck in and make a difference. As a partnership organisation, you’ll gain valuable experience of working with multiple stakeholders across a wide variety of sectors and businesses to promote Reading externally.

You will be:

- Social media savvy
- Have experience of digital marketing and the confidence to use their own initiative to make things happen and ultimately deliver results.
- A passion for (and understanding of) Reading as a place to live and work would be advantageous.
