**Data Migration Engineer - Hybrid / London - 6 Month Contract - £450 - £475 Per Day Outside IR35**

**Job details**:
Assist in the design and implement the data warehouse framework which will be applied across the NPAS programme, currently encompassing 8 Data migrations to be completed over the next two years. Create, release and unit test migration code across each ofthe 8 data migrations.

**You will need to have London Market Insurance experience to be considered for this role.**

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with Data Migration Lead, external providers, and inhouse developers to design, implement and execute the Data Migration Framework (DMF)
- Represent the NPAS Data Migration team in meetings with senior stakeholders
- Review Mapping documents and provide feedback
- Generate Migration Code using SSIS and TSQL
- Maintain code and release processes in line with TMHCC standards
- Become the main developer and SME in the source system data for 1-3 data migration projects
- Support execution of data migrations
- Participate in Agile ceremonies

**Essential Skills**:

- Strong development skills in MS-SQL Server, TSQL, MS-SSIS, MS-SQL, MS-SSRS (Min 5 years).
- Experience working in a data centric team (Data warehouse or data migration)
- Knowledge of insurance data including London Markets and general insurance.
- Knowledge of common underwriting or claims systems ie Sequel Eclipse, Guide Wire, Iris
- Experience unit testing code
- Experience using code management and deployment tools (devops, bitbucket, TFS)
- Excellent communicator at all levels, with strong collaborative approach.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Experience working with ETL Control Frameworks which consist of individually repeatable extract, cleanse, enrich, transform, and load routines.
- Database administration skills
- Performance tuning databases

**Desired Skills**:

- Experience creating SSIS packages using BIML or similar
- Experience maintaining reference and master data sets in SQL Server MDS
- Deploying code to environments using TFS or similar
- Knowledge of insurance data including London Markets and general insurance.
- Knowledge of common underwriting or claims systems eg Sequel Eclipse, Sequel Claims, Schumann CAM, Guidewire, Iris.
