**Contract: Full time (temporary to permanent contract)**

**Monthly salary: £2200-2600 GBP**

We are currently working with a specialist school in Rugeley who are looking for a SEN / SEMH teacher to start ASAP. The school is an independent special school for boys and girls aged from 7 through to 18 years old. They school is an outstanding specialistschool supporting students with a variety of complex needs including Social and Emotional Mental Health needs as well as Autism and other SEN needs, therefore experience with additional needs is desirable.

Ofsted has reported that the outstanding teaching at this school enables pupils to make outstanding progress. The curriculum is complimented by integral therapeutic activities delivered by the psychology and occupational therapy teams. In 2014 TES reportedthat this school was special needs school of the year.

**In order to be considered**:

- Must be a qualified teacher with SEN /SEMH experience.
- Must be open to supporting young people with SEMH needs.
- Must have a positive attitude and be able to learn new skills quickly
- Have a passion for education.
- Provide 2 references.
- Proof of right to work in the UK
- Willing to complete a DBS or have a DBS which is already on the update service
- **_Able to start ASAP._**

**Key responsibilities**
- Teaching small groups of students under the instruction of the class teachers.
- Working closely with the SENCO and senior leaders
- Planning and delivering lessons
- Meeting the individual needs of the students
- Monitoring behaviour.
- Helping to develop social skills and communication and providing feedback to SLT.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
