**About the Role**: Oxford Bus Group, a leading public transport operator within the Go-Ahead Group, seeks a highly motivated and organised Marketing Assistant to join our dynamic team. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the development and execution of marketing initiatives across our various companies, including Oxford Bus Company, Thames Travel, Carousel Buses, City Sightseeing Oxford, and Pulhams Coaches.

**Key Responsibilities**:
The Marketing Assistant is a key member of the Oxford Bus Group marketing team, supporting the Marketing Manager in the delivery of a busy portfolio of marketing campaigns. With a strong focus on digital marketing, you'll work with the team on content creation, website development/maintenance, and social media, as well as assisting with all other elements of marketing campaigns and publicity activities, with the opportunity to project manage certain campaigns.

Being a small department, duties are varied and change considerably according to the needs of the business. The department delivers the marketing strategy for the Oxford Bus Company, Thames Travel, Carousel Buses, City Sightseeing Oxford and Pulhams Coaches, meaning that multi-tasking will be an important part of this role.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and wider marketing team to deliver a comprehensive marketing strategy across diverse platforms (print, digital, and social media).
- Develop engaging and targeted content for websites, social media channels, and marketing materials that resonate with our customer base.
- Maintain all information on company websites to the highest standard and accuracy.
- Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to inform strategic decision-making and identify new market opportunities.
- Manage and maintain marketing databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity to support effective campaign targeting.
- Assist with the planning and execution of marketing events and promotional campaigns, which could involve liaising with vendors, managing logistics, and promoting the events through various channels.
- Monitor the performance of marketing campaigns using analytics tools and generate insightful reports to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
- Liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including other departments within Oxford Bus Group, local authorities, and marketing agencies, to ensure successful campaign implementation.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Marketing Team, including (but not limited to) managing budgets, scheduling appointments, and preparing reports.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Take care of your own safety and the safety of others always by complying with your responsibilities, particularly in relation to Health and Safety, as outlined in the Company policies and procedures and under the Health and Safety at Work, etc. Act 1974.
- Operate in line with the Company vision and values and encourage others to do the same.
- At all times be an ambassador of Oxford Bus Company, Thames Travel, Carousel Buses, City Sightseeing Oxford and Pulhams Coaches, as well as bus use in general.
- Undertake any additional duties at the request of your line manager, which is deemed to be relevant, reasonable and within your competency.

- Proven organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, while prioritising efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in relevant marketing software and content management systems (e.g., social media platforms, analytics tools, content management systems).
- A passion for public transport and a desire to contribute to the positive image of Oxford Bus Group by promoting the vital services we provide to our communities.
