Flagperson

**Description**:
Parkland County has _casual_ Flagperson positions available in the Road Maintenance & Drainage Services department for approximately five (5) months, commencing in May of 2023. Reporting to the Surfacing Foreman or General Foreman, and stationed in either Stony Plain or Tomahawk, you will provide traffic control/directions to motoring public traveling through work areas with some labour duties required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. You will be supplied with protective equipment (coveralls, hard hat, and fluorescent reflectorized vest) which must be worn when applicable. You must supply your own CSA approved steel toe footwear, which must be in good condition and worn when applicable.
- Certification as a Flagperson is desirable, however training will be provided.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License. Upon hire, a current Driver’s Abstract and satisfactory driving record must be provided.
- Ability to relay information in a quick & courteous manner.
