Stockroom Volunteer

Volunteer to help Sue Ryder to be there when it matters.

About us

Our Dunblane shop is looking for volunteers to join the team. Our community shop is full of high-quality donated items, including a range of clothing, bric-a-brac and books, plus Sue Ryder's great range of new products. The shop is always busy with visitors - both local and tourists - who have come to look around the town’s historic buildings and wonderful atmosphere. Our friendly team are always ready to welcome new and returning customers, and help you find your perfect bargain.

About you

Support our shops behind the scenes, back of house, sorting donations, getting things ready for sale and making sure the shop is kept stocked and ready for our customers. As a Stockroom volunteer you will be one of the store’s friendly faces who will help us to provide the best customer experience whilst playing an important role in raising funds for our charity work.

How you’ll benefit
- Join a friendly team & make new friends
- Gain confidence & customer service skills
- Get valuable retail experience & enhance your CV
- Receive discounted donated goods and travel expenses
- Give back to your community
- Support people through the most difficult times of their lives

You will also be helping us to inspire communities to provide more care for more people through innovating and collaborating on ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.

Full training will be provided, and travel at a reasonable local rate can be reimbursed for shifts of four hours or more, as agreed with the local manager.

How much time does the role take up?

Volunteering is flexible and can be a regular morning or afternoon. You can opt for weekdays, weekends, or as and when you are available.

Why not arrange a taster session?

You can register your interest in volunteering online or directly in store. You can have a no-obligation taster session in your chosen shop.
