Reporting directly to, and working closely with the Procurement Manager, the main purpose of the role is to oversee the daily running of a busy dry goods store, ensuring the timely supply of dry goods into the site to meet current and anticipated volumes.

KARRO Cookstown is part of the KARRO Food Group, which is one of the largest food companies in the UK. The Company provides a complete range of pork products to the retail, food service, wholesale and manufacturing markets.
The Cookstown site is a complete pork processing facility that encompasses slaughter, butchery and added value departments. Operating at the highest levels of hygiene and quality, the site holds accreditations from the British Retail Consortium, Bord Bia, theUnited States Department of Agriculture and the People's Republic of China. The customer base includes Sainsbury, Marks & Spencer, Tesco, Asda, Dunnes etc.

Specific Duties Will Include:

- Liaising with planning/sales departments to determine product requirement and service needs
- Monitoring usage trends and product availability to ensure maintenance of customer service levels
- Nurturing relationships with suppliers to ensure delivery requirements and quality standards are met.
- Reporting Stock Maintenance and spend to the accounts team on a weekly basis.
- Managing the dry goods staff - from intake to issue.
- Reviewing and implementing improvement measures on current systems and controls within the dept.
- a good general standard of education including english & maths at GCSE level
- at least 2 years two years of warehouse/ stores experience gained in a fast moving, dynamic environment
- previous supervisory experience
- strong IT skills, including Excel
- a working knowledge of SAP (advantageous but not essential)
- experience of managing and motivating a small team to achieve optimum results
- Excellent communication skills along with team working skills are essential, as is the ability to work under pressure. You must be able to make informed decisions and be able to take responsibility for those actions.

The key challenge in the role is to ensure that sufficient quantity and quality of materials are in place at the right time to ensure that factory operations optimised.
