SES Engineering Services are looking for an Assistant Buyer to join our Yorkshire team focussing on high profile, technically complex mechanical and electrical projects across multiple sectors.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Our Assistant Buyers are a valuable part of our business, supporting the procurement objectives with prompt placement of orders in line with budgets and programme. As well as providing efficient support to the Procurement team, you will be involved with managing site returns, updating material databases, reports and trackers and issuing communication documents on behalf of the procurement team.

As our Assistant Buyer you will:

- Process overhead orders and placement of project consumable orders, managing acknowledgements and invoice variations
- Manage supplier engagement and visits, developing product knowledge and identifying opportunities for commercial betterment on material spend
- Maintain the material database, managing price files updates adding/removing items, manually updating monthly price files for copper cable and channel
- Set up new contract information including contract defaults and delivery information, auto order and set up and management of the daily order reports
- Support the procurement team and operational leader with creating reports, taking meeting notes and creating and issuing minutes, updating trackers and other tasks as required
- Manage site returns and credit log
