General Operator

We are an SME (Small Medium Enterprise) that are key suppliers to some truly global customers.

We are constantly looking to continually improve our processes and conditions so we can be our customers supplier of choice over the coming years. We can only achieve this with the support and input of our production team feeding into the site leadership team.

If you think this could be for you, a re-structuring of the existing team has led to the need for an additional member to support our increasing order book.

We produce mild steel components from plasma and flame cut profiles. We are looking for an organised, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual for our day shift to flatten and or fettle and dress these components ahead of machining and fabrication.

The role will predominantly involve:

- Using hand-held grinding equipment to clean and remove dross and burrs from Plasma and Flame cut components.
- Use of an 80t press to flatten components as required
- Using jib-cranes to move work in and out of area **(previous crane experience is essential).**
- Be physically fit.
- Have a good eye for detail.
- Be able to take instruction.
- Have experience of using overhead crane / jib crane
- Have worked in a similar manufacturing environment.

Hours of work are:

- 07:00 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday
- 07:00 - 11:00 Friday (40 hours total).
- Lunch break - 30 mins - (unpaid)
- Free tea & coffee.

Training will be provided where required.

**Salary**: £11.00 per hour

- Brownhills: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Press Brake Operator: 1 year (preferred)
- Overhead or Jib Crane: 1 year (preferred)
