**What will I be doing?**

SSE Outdoors is the largest provider of Outdoor Education in Somerset and enjoys a reputation for high quality and standards. The Centres offer a variety of outdoor activities and educational courses. The sites are situated in a fantastic position in Somerset with immediate access to a variety of outdoor locations.
We’re working to improve the lives of children in Somerset - and you’ll be a key part of that. There’s no such thing as a typical week with us, but your day-to-day work will involve:

- Leading activities and delivering sessions regularly to a variety of customers, across our service;
- Supporting our hospitality teams, cleaning and preparing the Centre for arriving groups;
- Working towards your Level 3 qualification;
- Undergoing inductions, training and assessments;
- Continuing your own development outside of working hours.

**What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?**

We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you:

- Are happy working in the outdoors during all seasons;
- Have experience of working with children;
- Can deal with changing and competing priorities and a fast-paced environment.

Any outdoor qualifications, along with Maths & English, are always helpful.

**What will I be offered in return?**

By the end of the contract, we aim to have prepared you for a career in the outdoor industry. During this time, you will complete aL3 Outdoor Instructor apprenticeship and some NGB awards, if you have put in the hard work and shown commitment. There are qualifications that you will gain through business needs and others that are tailored to meet your individual needs.
