We're looking for someone special to join our amazing team here at Cara Glass - could it be you?

For over 30 years Cara Glass have been delighting our customers of Salisbury, South Wiltshire, North Dorset and West Hampshire in providing excellent, quality products alongside amazing installation, with exceptional customer service too - which has given us the reputation we have for being one of the leading local companies for windows and doors.

**We are now looking for someone to join our expanding team as a window fitter's mate to support our installation team in fitting windows, doors and conservatories of different materials.**

Ideally, we are looking some someone with some kind of experience in the construction industry and perhaps wanting to come into a different area of the trade.

Daily hours are Monday to Friday 7.30am-4.30pm (contracted 8 hour day and 40 hours a week). 20 days paid annual leave plus bank holidays and discretionary holiday for Christmas closure are provided as part of the role.

Qualifications and previous experience in glazing are desirable, but any prior experience or health & safety qualifications of the constriction industry would be an advantage (eg current in date CSCS). A full clean driving license able to drive Transit Vans would also be a massive advantage.

On the job coaching and e-learning Health and Safety coursees will be provided and the necessary Personal Protective Equipment and tools will be available at the start of job.

There may be the opportunity to work on some of our larger commercial jobs which may involve staying away from home for short periods of time - this would be discussed on an as and when needed basis and is very infrequent at present.

The type of tasks will include:

- Loading and unloading product and tools from vehicles
- Keeping sites clean and tidy at all ties
- Fabricating windows ready for installation
- Helping the fitter to install and clean products - sometime working at height.
- Trimming and Finishing of products.

- Ability to complete all work to the highest of standards, first time fix and as cost effective as possible. If its not good enough for your own house, then it wouldn't be good enough for our customers

- A Health and Safety mindset at all times.

The desirable skills and attributes we are looking for:

- CSCS card.
- A clean Driving license.
- Any technical training like PASMA Tower.
- Experience of being a fitter's mate with another company.
- Able to use a computer to complete e-learning and possible.

- Cara Glass would consider a sub-contractor taking this position if the right person was available and able to commit to working with us on a contract basis of at least 3 days a week. Rate would be negotiable._
