**Senior Economist - Education and Labour market**

**Salary**: £45,000 to £50,000
**Location**: UK, Hybrid

**Job Type**: Full or part-time, Permanent
Working alongside some of the UK’s leading educational economists, researchers and education professionals, you’ll develop insightful research on issues such as the role of the education system in facilitating movement into employment, social mobility and equity.
As a Senior Economist you’ll contribute to the shape and design of research and evaluation projects, assisting in securing the funding and then be a lead in managing the life-cycle of the project through to delivery. You’ll also share findings, contributingto raising NFER’s visibility and ensuring a positive impact is made by all of its research by.
**REQUIREMENTS**
To be a Senior Economist you’ll;
- have a first degree or higher degree in economics, with a strong microeconomics and evaluation element, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and professional experience.
- be an effective communicator both verbally and written, with experience of drafting research reports and/or publications as an author.
- be able to work with a considerable degree of autonomy and to consistently meet deadlines.
- be an experienced user of statistical software e.g. STATA, R, SQL, Python, MPlus and MLWin.
