About the role

We are currently recruiting an Activities Co-Ordinator for our Male only 30 bed specialist unit based at Dovehaven Lodge, Tag Lane, Ingol, Preston.

About the Role:
This creative and rewarding role is pivotal to the quality of lives of our residents. We are looking for a caring individual who is enthusiastic and organised. You will be required to create ideas, organise social and recreational events, both in and outside of the home, and consult with our residents to identify their social and recreational interests, generate enthusiasm and support the delivery of these activities. You will have the ability to deliver group and one to one activities where required.

About you:
Caring and sensitive to the needs and abilities of others.
Committed to providing service excellence and promoting a positive image of the homes at all times.
Committed to promoting dignity and respect for all our service users.
Able to provide emotional and social support.
Able to plan and communicate effectively and engage others in varying activities.
Your Skills and Experience:
The ability to be compassionate and empathetic in your approach to caring for older people, either through previous roles in social care or in other roles.
To be self-motivated, resilient and well-organised.
To be dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the Home.
