We have a vacancy for a maintenance engineer to join our team working within a busy hotel. The role is a 40 hour a week contract working Monday to Friday. Flexibility will be required for call outs, out of normally working hours in emergency situations. Having your own transport will be essential due to the location of the hotel.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform preventive maintenance in all guest rooms, public areas
- Follow-up and complete work orders
- Perform routine maintenance around the hotel and the grounds, including plumbing, electrical, painting, carpet cleaning
- Ordering of equipment to ensure hotel is maintained to a high standard
- Following General Managers guidance with pre-planned maintenance
- Assisting the company maintenance team, which will occasionally mean working at other properties within the group
- Ensuring the hotel fulfils it’s health and safety responsibilities
- Regular fire safety checks and drills, while keeping records in good order
- Using own initiative for small repairs within the hotel and reporting anything larger to the management team
- Maintaining the hotel grounds. Mowing lawns, planting flowers, litter collection and strimming

**Previous Experience**:
Previous experience working as a within a similar role would be advantageous.
