**About Us**

Rockliffe Hall is an AA-rated 5 red star resort in the north of England and is set within 375 acres outside the village of Hurworth, near Darlington in County Durham. We aim to provide an outstanding personalised service to each guest who stays, spas, golfs and dines and with us, acknowledging special occasions and making them memorable for all guests. We are currently seeking a Greenkeeper to join Team Rockliffe

**The Role**

The main responsibilities of the Greenkeeper role will be (but not limited to):

- Ensure the profitable delivery of a superior ‘5 star’ golf experience for members, visitors and hotel residents through the successful planning, preparation and maintenance of a championship Golf Course.
- Continual upkeep and health of both machinery and irrigation system
- Preparing the course as in; Marking of hazards, out of bounds and GUR, moving tee markers, maintaining bunkers, maintaining golf course furniture, changing holes
- Operating Machinery, Tractor driving, machine maintenance, preparing machinery for use, preparing machinery for storage
- Preparing ground for establishing plants and laying drains
- Establishing and maintaining plants on the golf course including Trees, shrubs and turf, Identifying plants and grasses
- Safe use of chain saw, all-terrain vehicle driving, safe use of abrasive wheels, safe lifting and handling as and if required
- To carry out gritting, salt spreading, snow cleaning, as necessary, including footpaths around the hotel.
