We are looking for two Assistant Psychologist to join our friendly and innovative ADHD Adult Service.

The role offers excellent opportunities to gain experience toward clinical psychology training, including co-facilitating group work and supporting service development initiatives.

There is opportunity for both supervised clinical work and indirect work that supports the delivery of psychological interventions to ADHD adult patient

We work with people aged between 18 and 65 who is either awaiting a ADHD diagnoses or already have a diagnosis and would like to have psychological support as part of our treatment plan.
- We offer excellent clinical supervision and support and there are a wide range of CPD opportunities available.

We also offer flexibility in terms of location, having the possibility of working from home or being base in Harrow NPH. You may be able to work flexible hours too.

We are looking for someone who is organised, self-motivated, self-aware and shows a commitment to working with people who experience ADHD but also able to work independently, someone that is honest and reliable.

You will be working closely with the team of clinicians. This will be a role under development so you will have the opportunity to participate in the role development too.

ADHD has a long waiting list; the initial part of the role will be to do the screening for all those referred to our service. Together with the lead consultant you will be able to develop and use screening tools and help the team to create a better understanding of who is waiting to have the ADHD assessment

At a later stage the second part of the job will give you the opportunity to participate in supervised clinical input.

To monitor routine outcome measures for initial assessments at the clinic which will involve handing out measures, ensuring these are correctly completed, scoring and entering into a data base as appropriate under the support of a qualified supervisor.

To assist with ADHD waitlist’s updating, data extrapolation and presentation.

When needed To assist in the formulation and delivery of routine care plans involving the psychological treatment and/or management of a client’s problems, under the direct supervision of a qualified professional psychologist/suitably qualified therapist.

To assist in the development of the coordination and running of therapeutic groups and responding to mental health needs of our ADHD patients as part of their treatment plan.

To assist, under the direct supervision of a qualified professional, in the development of a psychologically based framework of understanding and care to the benefit of all clients of the service, across all settings where care takes place.

To attend and contribute to appropriate multi-disciplinary meetings.
