Permanent job opportunity for a Support Worker to join a dedicated team, looking after children aged between 5-18 years, who have a range of needs from learning disabilities to behavioural issues, and have been assessed as needing a residential placement. The service meets the needs of young people who have autistic spectrum disorders and those who have complex needs that may include challenging behaviour. An individual approach is taken in which our services adapt to meet the needs and wishes of the child and family. Applications are welcome from those with Support Worker, Care Assistant, Care Worker, Teaching Assistant, Social Worker, or other relevant backgrounds.

**What you will need?**
- Relevant experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, Care Worker, Teaching Assistant, or other relevant social care or education position.
- A good standard of literacy. You must be able to write reports around individuals and significant incidents.
- A passion for making a difference in young lives.
- Resilience and a 'can do' attitude.
- A good understanding of trauma and ability to deal with challenging behaviour.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to provide advice and specialist guidance to our children and families (once trained).
- The ability to be a positive role model for the young people.
- Excellent team-working skills.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £14.00-£14.54 per year
