Gerrard White is recruiting for a leading insurance group for an Insurance Accounting Manager.

The role will be responsible for the monitoring and forecasting of the Group's capital position and accountable including Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet. The second part of the role will involve the arrangement and purchasing of the Group's corporate insurancecoverage with a commercial lens. However, full support and training will be provided on this aspect of the role.
Key accountabilities will include:

- Responsibility for insurance accounting including Balance Sheet, Solvency 2 Accounting and Profit and Loss.
- To be responsible for the production management information for internal and public consumption with regards to capital management. Including the analysis of capital generation, review and input into the Solvency Financial Condition Report, Annual Reportand Accounts, Investor Relations support.
- To be responsible for the production of the relevant Rating agency position and forecast for review by the Head of Capital and Reinsurance.
- The project management, governance and placement of the Groups insurance policies
- To be accountable for the data and information provided to insurers as part any renewal submission or quote
- Acting as the insurance SME
- To be the key relationship manger with our insurance brokers and insurance counterparties
- Responsible for the timely production of any solvency and liquidity monitoring, quarterly solvency updates and Solvency Ratio landings for the group
- Demonstrable experience of project management, delivery and leading inter-departmental teams
- Knowledge and understanding of insurance accounting including Solvency 2 Accounting, Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss
- Knowledge of relevant company law
- Strong understanding of different insurance products, their functions, terms and conditions and the implications of wording changes.
- Strong insurance market knowledge alongside insurance brokers.
- Knowledge of Solvency 2 accounting, balance sheets and risk management concepts
- Very strong stakeholder management, written and verbal communication
- Ability to understand, challenge and dig into results to provide clarity to others
- Risk management awareness
- Professionally qualified (Accounting, Actuarial, CII)
